Ambulance Strike Team Purpose & Mission To ensure uniform and orderly deployment of ambulance teams to serve the eight EMTF regions in Texas ~~~~~~~~~~ To provide supplemental emergency patient care and transport during large scale incidents requiring patient movement
Ambulance Strike Team Composition • 5- Ambulances per Strike Team • 1- Strike Team Leader per Strike Team in a separate vehicle • All components of the strike team will have common communications capability • Ambulance Strike team will have common communications with other EMTF components, i.e., MMU, AMBUS, etc.* * In pursuit
RN Strike Team ComponentPurpose & Mission The RN strike team component of EMTF-7 will be deployed to augment staffing of a hospital in a ‘like-department’ of an affected jurisdiction.
RN Strike Team Composition • 5- RN teams per Strike Team of like specialization • 1- Strike Team leader per team • RN team will have common communication capability.
AMBUS Purpose & Mission Planned and designed to ensure uniform and orderly deployment of our regional AMBUS component of EMTF-7 across the eight EMTF regions in Texas ~~~~~~~~~~ To provide the capability for mass patient care and transportation, as well as responders during incidents which threaten public health & safety
Mobile Medical Unit (MMU)Goals • 16 – 32 bed capacity • Provide emergency stabilizing care and transfer • 6-12 hour launch time for 72-96 hour deployment • Clinical and Facilities Groups • Standardized minimal supplies, pharmaceuticals, and capabilities • No x-ray capability

EMTF-7MMU Recommended Staffing • 4- Registered Nurses (RN) • 1- Medical Doctor (MD or D.O.) • 1- Technician/Clerk • 1- Physician Assistant, or 1- Nurse Practitioner • 2- Paramedics, or 2- Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)
