  2. COMPETENCY : Understanding the basic concept, Knowledge, Ability to compute and problem solving ability. • EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES : • 1. Subtraction as taking away , as comarision and as complementary addition. • 2. Subtraction using real objects and pictures. • 3. To understand how to compare and tell how many more . • 4. To understand how many more to be added. • 5. To understand the usage of symbol. • 6. Use of zero in subtraction.

  3. SUGGESTED ACTIVITIES : • 1. Students are blindfolded and asked to guess the things kept in a bag. • 2. Making a postcard holder and students will see how many books it can hold. • 3. Make a tiny tree using a sheet of paper and scissor . • 4. Make a tower collecting different things such as books, boxes, erasers,matchboxes, glasses etc. • 5. Playing of “ Coin play “ and see which type of coin rolls, slides and draw a figure by joining the dots in ascending order starting from a given number.
