Sue Holmes RE Adviser – East Riding SACRE Marilyn Cowling RE Adviser - Hull SACRE Religious Education for Teachers and HLTAs(...and for Subject Leaders who missed the Autumn training) • Purpose • To develop confidence in: • using the Agreed Syllabus • assessing standards and progress in RE • setting tasks to raise standards • evaluating attainment • leading RE (for SLs and aspiring SLs) • Programme • Agreed Syllabus overview • Enquiry into an aspect of faith to develop depth in learning and task setting • Assessing standards and ensuring progression (examples provided) • Resourcing the syllabus • Addressing individual needs A CROSS–PHASE course for all who are teaching and/or leading RE. To include an overview of the updated Agreed Syllabus, task setting to raise standards, assessment and progression in RE and evaluating attainment whilst developing depth in learning through enquiry. It will provide opportunity for participants to address their individual needs, including supportfor those who wish to further develop their leadership role.
