Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) The New York State Dignity for All Students Act Students may not be discriminated as a result of: Race color weight national origin ethnic group religion religious practice disability sexual orientation or gender (including gender identity or expression) …by school employees or students on school property.

  3. Did you know? • > More than 1 out of every 5 students report being bullied. • > 64% of students who were bullied did not report it. • > The reasons for being bullied most often by students were: looks, body shape, and race.

  4. National Bullying Prevention Center States: • > Kids who considered themselves very overweight were not only bullied, but indicated more loneliness. • > Students might be more apt to pick on their classmates when they are modeling after adult behavior.
