  1. Value Proposition • Value Engineering Through Design Optimization and source Substitution • Effective SPC Deployment • ESD Safe Storage and Handling • Full Component/Board/System Level Traceability • Flexibility to accommodate varying [production schedules • RoHS Compliant Processes since Jan 2006 • Comprehensive Financial,Material and Production Planning System(ERP)

  2. Value Proposition • In-house/Outsourced Reliability Engineering • Micro Section of Solder Joints • Alpha Meter – Ionic Contamination Testing Additional In-House Facilities added in June 2008 • Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT)‏ • Highly Accelerated Stress Screen (HASS)‏ CDIL Group

  3. Accelerated Stress Screening AST- Accelerated Stress Screening of Electrical and Electronic Product consists of • Highly Accelerated Life Test (HALT) Screen verification • Proof of Screen (POS) and • Highly Accelerated Stress Screening(HASS)‏ All I/O and power ports must be loaded and activated. These methods can also be applied to some electromechanical products and parts if necessary.

  4. Accelerated Stress Screening HALT is used during the design stage to achieve ROBUST design. • Product temperature and three axis vibration levels are 'Stepped' until operating and destruction limits are determined or fundamental technology limits are reached; the product is exercised through hot and cold temperature extremes (-100oC to +200o C in worst case)‏

  5. Accelerated Stress Screening • After implementation of corrective actions on all failures detected ,and improvements in design/process/materials /assembly and fabrication techniques , the product enters the mass production stage • Prior to shipment, each unit goes through HASS. • It is critical that HASS stresses all elements /modules / components of the product and does not reduce the residual life i,e. weaken a good part.

  6. 2000 HALT and HASS System • QUALMARK Environment Test Chamber (HAS003) Model 0VS- 4e • -100oC to 200o C • 1oC/sec ramp rate • Liquid Nitrogen cooled;combined with 60 GRMS Vibration • Table internal size 55x 54x 54 inches CDIL Group
