Educational Training • USDA has released notices posting the changes to USDA documents • Warehouses will have to sign new CSA agreements that incorporate the changes by August 1 • NCC and EWR will be coordinating training efforts to educate warehouses through mailings/news outlets/meetings to communicate requirements • ACSA will be providing education to merchants

Moving Forward • Anticipate the Cotton Flow Working Group convening again to discuss implementation of the new requirements • USDA will continue with the current complaint system and yearly audits • Implementation of policy recommendations will provide AMS with additional resources when reviewing warehouse’s performance • Should also help to alleviate miscommunication between warehouses and merchants and assist in providing traceability of data
71/72 Reclassing ACP brought recommendation to the Board in February A taskforce will be formed to assess: • market implications of plastic contamination • options regarding the classing/reclassing of bales with a 71/72 call The committee has been named and will meet July 25 in Memphis
Discounts for 71/72 • AMS has included a discount for plastic 71/72 • some merchants not accepting these bales or selling them to the reclaimer and mote markets, so these discounts will likely grow larger • These discounts are calculated using a 3-year moving average
Round Module Wrap Contamination Prevention Educational Video • Updated and rereleased through YouTube- National Cotton Council and the Council Website • New USB drives will be available to send out if requested

Unacceptable Practices Do not: • place PBI tags on heads, feet or flat sides of bales • Under bagging or touching cotton • Use metal ties to close bale heads • Wrinkle tags • Place safety tags on same side as PBI
