Kaunas Zoo It is the only Zoo-park in Lithuania. Over 270 species of animals are kept there. Kaunas Zoo was founded in 1935 by zoologist Tadas Ivanauskas, and opened on July 1, 1938.

Dainavos Secondary School The school was built in 1973. It was called the 34th School. In May 8 in 1992, it was named DAINAVOS, for the former village which was located near the place where the school is now. School’s current principal is the Lithuanian language specialist Vytautas Kvederaitis.

Honour in knowladge On the 8th of May, 1998 the school was celebrating its 25th anniversary. Until then, there were 22 high-school graduated generations including: • 12 students graduated with gold medal. • 31 student graduated with silver medal. • 11 students graduated with commendations.
