Update-Coalition for Sustainable Nutrition Security in India • November 4, 2011: Meeting of Coalition Members-A way forward • December 5, 2011: Meeting with Dr. Shreeranjan, Joint Secretary, MWCD • December 6, 2011: Meeting with the Chief Minister of Jharkhand to discuss on Jharkhand Nutrition Mission • December 20, 2011: Meeting of Nutrition Coalition Action Groups • February 4, 2012: IGNOU Sustainable Development & Nutrition Security Programme Assessment • February 16, 2012: First Meeting of Monitoring & Evaluation Action Group • February 17, 2012: Global report on malnutrition- A Life free From Hunger • March 13, 2012: Meeting with the Chief Minister of Delhi on State Nutrition Mission • March 26-29, 2012: Operationalising Block Operational Strategy –Visit to Gumla

Upcoming Coalition Activities • Meeting with the Chief Secretary of Delhi on Nutrition Mission structure, • Meeting with the Secretary, Social Welfare, Government of Jharkhand - Jharkhand Nutrition Mission • Stakeholders meeting in Jharkhand: May 29,2012 • Meeting of Monitoring & Evaluation Action Group with the Nodal NGO’s of DRC, leaders from GRCs, frontline workers • Meeting on Block Operational Strategy design with implementing partners (Save the Children, Naandi Foundation, World Vision, Reliance Foundation and others) • Support selected collaborative activities e.g. PM’s Nutrition Council, develop monitoring indicators for measuring outlays and outcomes linkages of the National Food Security Bill 2011 and the ICDS • Continue IGNOU Nutrition Course on “Sustainable Development & Nutrition Security” 1
