This article explores two current models of evolution, the generation of novel complexity, and the primary processes embodied physically as action, information, and spatial structure. It discusses the mother structures of mathematics and their representation in natural objects, physical forces, and quantum mechanical phenomena. The article also explores the Schrödinger equation and its generation of biotic features in time series.

Evolution from simple to complex (not decay to entropic disorder) Simple universal forms Generating novel, unpredictable, complexity (not entropic disorder) Complex contains the simple (no ideas without energy and matter)
GENERIC GENERATORS Bourbaki: the mother structures of all mathematics are: Lattice: set with asymmetric and transitive relation < Group: closed set with rotation operation and opposition (inverse) Topology: “flexible” geometry (3 D) transformation with continuity Creation theory: These 3 forms are the primary processes at all levels of organization.(Sabelli, Union of Opposites 1989; Bios, 2005) Piaget: Same fundamental structures in mental development
GENERIC GENERATORS • The mother structures of mathematics • are embodied physically as action (energy * time), information and spatial structure (matter) • generate complex processes • repeat fractally at each level of organization • are represented in equations that generate bios: • At+1 = At + g * sin(At) Feedback energy must be high Opposition: feedback must be bipolar Next action Previous action is conserved
Mother structures of mathematics Aspects or “components” of natural objects Physical forces Quantum mechanical phenomena 1. Uni – direction-ality Latticeorder: asymmetry and transitivity Energy flow in time (action) Unipolar gravita-tional attraction and space expansion Action quanta 2∞ Twoness: opposition Group(inverse and other symmetries Physical symmetries; waves; two-valued information Double bipolar electro-magnetic force Wave-particle duality, Pauli’s principle, 24 elementary particles 3. Threeness: tridimen-sional space Topology(continuity, transformation) Spatial structures (matter) Tripolar strong forces nucleates matter Three colors and flavors of quarks Pythagoras’ numerical forms
GENERIC GENERATORS Mathematical relations are certain and necessary and therefore universal and embodied in physical and mental processes. The mother structures of mathematics are 1. Lattice (transitivity, asymmetry) 2.Group (opposition, symmetry) 3.Topology (form, transformation) • They are physically embodied as • Action (energy *unidirectional time) • information (2 values) • Structure (3-D matter) The same global processes occur at all levels of organization generating novel, complex, diverse and increasingly more local processes. Mathematical certainty is more fundamental than quantum uncertainty. Simple and complex processes originate from simple deterministic mathematical structures(cause),not from maximally complex random change (chance).
Action and opposition in natural processes generate BIOS, an expansive chaotic pattern that displays diversification, novelty and non-random complexity, the hallmarks of creation. BIOS can be demonstrated in meteorological data, DNA, heartbeats, economic data, And in subatomic and in cosmological physical processes.
Schrödinger equation The fundamental equation of physics generates series with biotic features of: • Diversification • Novelty • Arrangement • Asymmetry • Consecutive recurrence In contrast to periodic and chaotic patterns As expected in a deterministic, non-random pattern
An electron wave packet confined in a box Time-dependent Schrödinger equation for a wavepacket representing an electron of average energy 5 eV confined to a region of 1E-10m (~ atomic dimensions). Ψ2 Boundaries Ψ2 Time Time Space Initial Gaussian wavepacket Space “Ripples Causal (non-random) and creative quantum mechanics: when the wave packet hits a boundary, it bounces and interferes with itself, generating complex waves that show biotic features. Waves show phenomena such as interference or diffraction. Probabilities do not.Ψ2 is not a probability.

The distribution of galaxies along the Z (time and space) axis shows partial autocorrelation, indicating non-random causation (bios) rather than random walk (Brownian). Isometry analysis of the distribution of galaxies along the Z (time and space) axis. Non-random causation Novelty Complexity Recurrence plot: few recurrences clustered in separate complexes Shuffled copy: uniform distribution and more recurrence (novelty).
Isometry analysis of the distribution of galaxies along the Z (time and space) axis with two different ways of generating the time series give the same results.
Isometry analysis of the distribution of galaxies along the X axis shows bios at some intermediate distances. Non-random causation Complexity Novelty
Cosmic Background Radiation: novelty without consecutive recurrence
1. ACTION: The universal (moving or transitive, unidirectional or asymmetric, global) formed by discreteunits (quanta) Unidirectional time Gravitation Thermodynamicirreversibility Pasteur’s discovery of biochemical asymmetry from which he inferred the existence of a Cosmic Asymmetry Other empirical asymmetries:weak force, optical rotation of atoms, non-equilibrium states in open processes, preponderance of matter over anti-matter, symmetry-breaking in cosmology, violation of gauge symmetry by superfluids, greater polarization of cosmic microwaves from one direction of space, ionic asymmetry across plasma membranes, brain asymmetry, social asymmetries. Lattice order < (transitive and asymmetric)as fundamental mathematical structure Biotic asymmetry: (1)statistical distribution of biotic series; (2) Bios is generated at lower value of the parameter when the recursion is made asymmetric by adding a biasing factor q.
2. OPPOSITION Sexual reproduction Rotation, from quantum “spin” to galaxy clusters Electromagnetic force Quantum qubit, complementarity, Pauli principle Greek Physiology, Chinese Taoism, German Dialectics Chemical, biological, and economic cooperation and competition Generational, Sex, Class, and National cooperation and conflicts Group theory (inverse = opposition) Sympathetic versus parasympathetic innervation of organs Psychodynamics and conditioning theory Thom’s catastrophe theory Logistic generator: A(t) versus 1-A(t) = unipolar opposition Biotic generators: bipolar feedback via trigonometric function
3. COLOR STRUCTURE: A generic structure consisting of triads of pairs of opposites organizes natural and human structures at multiple levels of integration, from matter to concepts (Sabelli, Union of Opposites, 1989; Bios, 2005). Physical tridimensional space Three attractors create chaos (Poincaré) Period 3 implies all harmonies (Sarkovskii’s theorem) and chaos Quantum chromodynamics (Nambu; Greenberg): 3 colors of quarks and anti-quarks. Three primary colors (Goethe, Young, Helmholtz, Maxwell) with three complementary secondary colors (Goethe, Hering) Triadic structure of concepts and organizations. Color symbolism
3. COLOR STRUCTURE Quantum chromodynamics: strong interactions that form the atomic nuclei show 3 colors and 3 anticolors. Three-colored quarks form protons and neutrons with no net color by interacting through gluons that carry a color-anticolor pair. Color symbolism:emotional (red passion, love and anger; golden ideals and yellow fear; blue order [police uniform] and depression); political (red revolutionaries, nazi, communist, republican; yellow theocracies; royal blue) Triadic structure of Motivation: pleasure, stimulation, pain avoidance Learning: cognitive, affective, pragmatic (Torre) Concepts: triadic categories (Kant, Schelling, Hegel, Marx, Engels, Pierce), triadic models of mind (Freud), Trinitarian visions of God Social organization: executive, legislative, judicial branches of government.
Biotic feedback is a fundamental generator of complexity at multiple levels of organization: • Biotic patterns in physical, biological, and social processes • Opposites (male/female, supply/demand,) in all processes • Biotic feedback is a necessary consequence of action, opposition and conservation • Biotic feedback (both cooperation and conflict) drive evolution and development–in contrast to Darwinism, Marxism, standard economics and foreign policies that focus on conflict, competition, and war.
