AIM Key Features Batch management software solution that integrates with new and existing automated ingredient handling systems. Communicates with the Allen-Bradley Logix 5000 Platform PLC. Reduces errors and improves quality control by delivering ingredients per a centrally controlled recipe database. The server product runs as a native Windows service and is built around Microsoft .Net framework. Both the server and client application will run on Windows XP, Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7. AIM standard database is MySQL. AIM may also be provided with a number of different database platforms including Microsoft SQL Server, PostreSQL and Oracle. Access AIM from any PC on the local network. Multiple clients can connect to the server simultaneously. There are no limits on client installation.
AIM allows users to manage automated and hand add ingredients as well as processes like mix times or temperature setpoints.
An unlimited number of automated and hand ingredients may be created.
Automated ingredient locations are configured within the system. Supervisors may assign ingredients to these locations. When a recipe requires that ingredient, it will request that the PLC run the system associated with that ingredient location.
Ingredient names assigned to each location are automatically passed through to the operator terminal without requiring programming modifications.
Ingredients and lot codes are received into each location. The ingredients are allocated to batches as they are completed on a first in, first out manner.
Formulas are created using ingredients and processes and grouped into batch steps.
Batch operations may be grouped in any order that is supported by the automated equipment. This allows for flexible equipment sequencing without system program modifications.
Recipe header information includes unit weight, yield % and production rate with which AIM creates an anticipated run out time of each batch. Recipes are fully scalable when scheduled but each recipe has a default size (Std Multiplier) which can be used for the most common batch size.
Any operation can be created with any combination of parameters. This can be custom configured to your process. This allows AIM to satisfy any type of batching application whether it is baking, dry mix or even a non-food application.
Multiple hand ingredients may be entered into a single operation with this batch detail loaded to the PLC for prompting and confirmation.
Formulas are sent to the PLC to control the batch sequence using the production scheduling module. Create production schedules consisting of a list of formulas.
Production schedules load recipe information into individual batching units allowing for full utilization of the equipment during changeovers. Production schedules may also operate multiple mixing units that are feeding a single production line.
Batches may be inserted, deleted and moved within a schedule as long as they haven’t been started.
AIM keeps track of the lot codes for each ingredient. Those lot codes are logged as part of the batch throughout production. Batches are then easily cross-referenced to lot codes.
AIM allows you to lookup BatchIDs for all batches that use a specific lot code. Lot codes may be searched by lot code, ingredient, batch number and recipe. All searches may be filtered by date/time.
AIM includes granular user security that allows production supervisors to decide who has permission to view and/or edit every aspect of AIM.
Formula report indicates base and standard scaled setpoint values. This and all reports may be exported to Excel for easy distribution, storage and retrieval.
Production report shows usage by date and time which may be filtered by production line.
Productivity detail report shows all batch details within a user selectable date/time range.
Batch report indicates how much of each ingredient as actually included in each specific batch.
AIM will work with any type of operator interface. The operator may utilize push button stations, or utilize programming operator terminals such as PanelView Plus terminals and Wonderware stations. AIM may be installed into an existing process with minimal impact on the operators. The customer may benefit from AIM without being concerned about retraining the operators.
Operator terminals display the status of each of the possible operations configured for the batching units that support the mixing unit.
Hand ingredient scaling control and logging is available as an add-on module within AIM for greater quality control, cost control and error prevention.
