Changing Faces. Loretta Kuse. Fluffy clouds fly through the sky. Silky milkweed joins the race. Seeds fly low and clouds fly high. Each is part of autumn’s face. Blue and white and brown and white By puffs of wind are fanned. Brown and white soon finds a site. Where it can rest and land.

Changing Faces Loretta Kuse
Seeds fly low and clouds fly high. Each is part of autumn’s face.
Blue and white and brown and whiteBy puffs of wind are fanned.
Brown and white soon finds a site.Where it can rest and land.
Fluffy white turns gray and frowns. Its face cries out and sends down rain.Brown and white thinks it will drown. And both upon the ground remain.
Their fluffy faces disappearAnd freeze into a poseUntil the warmth of spring appearsAnd all awakes and grows.
A face lift is performed by Surgeon SunWith moisture and with light.Tears of joy begin to runAnd things will turn out right.
Fluffy clouds soon reappear.Seeds begin to crack and smile. Now tiny plants are here. They'll grow for quite a while.
The bees will help to change the face. They'll pollinate and flyFrom bloom to bloom and place to place,For plants on them rely.
Then tiny seeds will form. They'll turn to brown and white. The sun's bright rays will make them warmAnd bring them out to light.
Fall's fluffy faceAgain will sail the skySpreading seeds from place to placeAs it goes passing by.
