Is drug use an effective way to deal with stress? Why or why not? • Drug use is not an effective way to deal with stress because it does not address the root of the problems. It hides or covers up what is causing the stress.
How does drug abuse affect our ability to deal with stress • The stress piles up and eventually must be dealt with. After using drugs for a while, the stress may have become severe, and no longer easily manageable
Could drug use be stressful? How? • You keep escaping the problem instead of dealing with it
How does drug abuse affect ones ability to love one’s dreams and achieve one’s goals? • Drug abuse affects one’s health and relationships. One cannot interact effectively to achieve one’s goals, or live a healthy, happy, and successful life

Summary • Coping with stress effectively supports our physical and mental health. The better we feel, the more likely we are to achieve our goals. Drug abuse limits our ability to deal with stress. It hinders our health, and affects the quality of our lives and our ability to achieve our goals.
