Construction fast-track • Invitation to construction firms to disclose bid-rigging conduct in return for lower penalties • Applications received from 21 firms, including top five construction firms • 301 projects rigged, including Soccer World Cup stadiums and Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project • 24 other firms that did not apply for settlement are implicated • Estimated value of all projects and tenders is R29 billion • Settlement negotiations to commence in mid 2012/13 financial year
