Curriculum • Reading/ Language Arts Daily 5 Bluebonnet Books Grammar Minute • 5th STAAR Tests – 4/1 Math (must pass), 4/2 Reading (must pass), 4/23 Science • Math Investigations – Math Menus (choice through stations) Small groups Math Fluency   • Science – Life/Physical/Earth Labs Science Fair • Social Studies – U.S. History and Geography Activities/Simulations Mini-Society

  4. Special Events • Sky Ranch – Sept.30 - Oct.2 • Friday Live – all will participate • Angela Maiers – Sept. 25th • Gti Curriculum Night – Sept. 25th Town Center ES • 5thGrade Winter Program • End of Year Bash – Aquatic Center- last week • Talent Show – Last week (optional)

  5. Behavior Management • Trailblazer Traits – Expectations of school conduct and respect • Consequences – Behavior Book Students will sign this book for consequences including forgetting HW. We are promoting self discipline, time management and responsibility. √- Miss ½ of recess √√- Miss all of recess, complete Stop and Think map √√√- Contact Parents/Silent Lunch √√√√-Meet with Principal

  7. Homework • Allowed 75 min, however we will keep it to 30 min. • Edmodo assignments

The Ins & Outs of Assignments • Friday Folders • Digital Portfolios • Corrections – Students may correct work below a 70% to raise the grade to an A. • Make up work when absent • Late Work – 10 points will be deducted each & must sign our discipline plan book. • Report Cards - every 9 weeks. • Progress Reports – every 4 ½ weeks only if in danger of failing.
