Orders • Order adopting an "Affordable Rents Policy" regarding CDBG funded housing development in the city. • Order appointing various individual to the Administrative Appeals Board, Economic Development Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission, and Shade Tree Commission.
Affordable Rents Policy • Section No. 1: CDBG projects funded with no other federal or state funds • Affordable rents for a qualifying CDBG only funded project shall be determined by excluding utility allowances which do not exceed the lesser of the fair market rents as determined by HUD periodically, or an amount which would equal 30% of the gross monthly income of a household earning 80% of the area median income adjusted by family size for the area as defined and published by HUD.
Affordable Rents Policy • Section No. 2: CDBG projects funded in conjunction with other federal and/or state funds • Affordable rents for a qualifying project utilizing CDBG funding in conjunction with other federal and/or state funds will be defined by the assisting program’s requirements if the project continues to serve persons at or below 80% of the area median income.
