Vladimir Lenin signed a decree for the creation of the Bolshevik Army on January 15, 1918 • In 1938, Soviet history books claimed that the Red Army won a battle against Germany On February 23, 1918 • There was no evidence to this claim so the Russian Parliament took it out from being one of their holidays, in 2006.
What it could be known as? • February 23 is considered Men’s day. This is because the men are obligated to severe in the military. • Women often give presents to their male relatives. Even if they never served in the military. • Russian authorities organize small parades for the soldiers. • Women are starting to challenge this day as more and more join.
Gifts • Women often give gifts like socks, cologne, or watches. • Women cook or plan celebratory dinners • Kids give cards to there male teachers • Flower and chocolates are not usually given as gifts
