INTRODUCTION • I am going to be talking about a basketball super star that goes very far in life throughout the game of basketball . from getting his basketball when he was 3 to being a famous basketball player • LEBRON James was born in 1985 • Was most famous for his excellence and good performance in basketball • I chose this person because I like basketball and LeBron James is a guy that is all over sports center of his outstanding ability to play really well. And that guy encourages me to watch him play on the court
Childhood • LEBRON lived at her grandmothers house with his mother and brother and sister. • He was very pour growing up and had to move houses very often and didn’t know what to do with his life. • He was three when he got his first basketball on Christmas of 1988 • His mother Gloria didn’t really have a relationship anyone so LEBRON didn’t really have a chance to go far to do experienced things and didn’t really have anywhere to go or set a goal when he was a kid. • As he often was switching school’s He had trouble trying to make friends and struggling to keep friends. • His grand mother passed away from a massive heart attack on Christmas day
Childhood (cont.) • At age 11 him and Gloria found a place to stay and stayed there for a good 7 years. • They could no longer pay the bills for his grandmothers old house so when they found a place to stay they moved in with there next door neighbors and they help them make a living. • played basketball for the first time with a milk crate tied to a telephone pole by a couple of nails.
Adolescence • Played for AAU basketball in fifth grade and played for the shooting stars and they were very outstanding with James on the court. • In his sophmore year he drove the Irish to a 27-1 record battling the loss to Oak Hill University. • Gained more and more confidence in himself playing high school basketball • In his junior year he played football for the varsity team was a wide receiver and just loved football but had more interest in basketball • He was on the most of the sports illustrated from 1998 from 2003 • LEBRONs image in life was that he cares for all the foundation and supports how are in need. • His struggles during his adolescence where that he was out playing on late nights and his mother was in desprit need back in his home town and always couldn’t be there for her all the time.
Adolescence (Cont.) • Went to St Vincent St Mary high school and played for the fighting Irish and played from a freshman to a sophmore and was a phenom troughout his high school years also known as a very outstanding player • No matter if his team is down by a lot or if they are up a lot he never gives up.
Adulthood • He was drafted by the Clevelend Cavaliers in 2003 • Was very succsesful carrier in the NBA. • Got married and had 1 kid.
President • during the years that LeBron James was born of 1985 that was the time Ronald Wilson Reagan was president and served for eight 1981-1989.
Contributions • He would make a difference on any basketball team he was on say as in that team was really bad LeBron would step in and make that team outstanding • would make himself try harder and achieve his goals and accomplish his NBA carear
Most Interesting story The most interesting story that I thought about LEBRON was his very unfortunate childhood. He was always finding a way to help with the conflict him and his mother are having. Most importantly he is always a happy person no matter what he has and what he does.
My Questions • What made you want to play the game of basketball • What is it like to be a basketball phenom • In your high school years playing for the fighting Irish how hard was it to turn a loosing team to a winning team.
