  3. Good News • Kathy Cross has joined our team as the TIME Collaborative Specialist. • Level Funded for FY14 - $14,168,030!! • All grants programmatically approved and budgets processed Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

Our Two New Schools. . . • McKinley: • Level 1 designation for meeting gap narrowing goals • Math SGP for all students = increase of 16 • Math SGP for high needs subgroup = increase of 15 • Huntington: • Math SGP for all students = increase of 20 • Math SGP for high needs subgroup = increase of 21.5 • Math SGP for ELL/former ELL = increase of 30 Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

Urgent Messages • Remember, this is a performance-based grant. • MA ELT schools need to demonstrate consistent positive outcomes overall in order to secure continued support. • There is heightened interest in the quality of program implementation and sustainability. • Sustainability needs to become a stronger focus. Expectations for Implementation • In collaboration with Mass 2020 updated/improved document • Revised to align with site visit goals and Conditions for School Effectiveness • Replace “Expectations and Indicators” more appropriate to a pilot program in order to reflect a mature program • Copies provided today Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education

Site Visit Revisions • Input from field last year: • Bullets are more concise, clear, and more easily conveyed to broader audience • Team discussions could be more focused given more concrete guiding questions or goals • Some redundancy • Copies of Protocol draft available for feedback by October 21st. Proposed Protocol Changes. . . • Guided by new Expectations for Implementation • Focus group interview “topics” replacing protocol questions • Professional learning and development • Behavioral/cultural expectations • Resource allocation • Some focus group times reduced • Families, students – 30 minutes • Enrichment providers – 30-60 minutes Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
