  2. Why discussions about a new common format? - A lot of software tools are being used among the UCTE TSOs - The idea about a mutual acceptance of another existing commercial format as a standard for data exchanges is not supported

(Important decisions) • November 2007: UCTE agreed to launch an initiative for development of new UCTE XML based data exchange format that will considered as a standard for exchange of load flow and dynamic data and allows performing of all kind of analyses as follows: steady state, unbalanced short circuit and dynamic analyses. • AhG UCTE format was established. • May 2008: UCTE SC approved • the cooperation of AhG “UCTE format” with international organizations aiming at inclusion of UCTE needs into international standard • the UCTE participation in EPRI project (CIM for Dynamics) • Summer 2008: UCTE joins the EPRI Project and creates a liaison with IEC TC57. UCTE CIM TF is established during CIMug meeting in Vasteras (June 2008)

IOP will be in March 2009. Is it feasible? Transformers are so complex… Do we need them? 

I cannot hear any complains Congratulations! We did a good job. We have some issues to solve. UCTE wants fast implementation…

  7. - Developed by PowerInfo LLC - to provide users with possibilities for direct editing of CIM data exchange format and graphical visualization - it is not related to the migration. It will be used and maintained as long as CIM /XML format is used Tools Visualization and editing tool • Contacts with vendors to obtain CIM upgrade; • Development of CIM based modules, if necessary • etc. UCTE provides Migration stage only Permanent use Interoperability Interoperability Permanent use TSOs UCTE provides TSOs business Interoperability TSO’s tools Migration converter UCTE DEF/CIM • Developed by EDF R&D • to convert from UCTE CIM to UCTE DEF (current version: version 02) and vice versa • - to be used during the migration stage

Seite Aufzählung UCTE view on CIM development and maintenance • It is necessary to maintain a stable CIM version and clear roadmap for CIM development. • Establishment of clearly defined external consultation process before approval of next release by IEC. • A reference file for every version or implementation of version control system from CIM sharepoint or EA. • Regular reports/announcements on ongoing projects (issued by CIMug or IEC)
