  2. The moment you hear the word ‘plastic’, you think about car components, keyboard, carry bags, packing materials and virtually anything. We can say that plastic is everywhere no matter what we do. Plastic extrusion is the technology which dates back to some 18th century and helps in the manufacture of plastic parts such as wire insulation, tubes and many more. Plastic extrusion is the method of heating plastic, forcing the liquid form into the mold or die to create the shape while allowing it to cool and harden. Here the chips or plastic pallets are heated at a high temperature till it melts. Then it is poured into the mold for giving it a shape. Nowadays, the plastic extruders also take advantage of a screw feeder which automatically forces the pellets of plastic into the hopper via the barrel and finally into the die. Extruders are the ones who carry out the process of plastic extrusion.

  3. Plastic extruders carry out various kinds of extrusions To accomplish the goal or to create different forms, various kinds of extrusions are carried out by the plastic extruders. They are tube extrusion, sheet and co extrusion. To create the sheets of plastic or films, the process of sheet extrusion is used. After the technique of extrusion is carried out, the material is cooled and then pulled out in the form of sheets. Coextrusion, on the other hand, is again the process using various extrusions to melt the material and then add various plastics to the die. So, the extruded plastic has various properties. For instance, it may have matte finish, grip surface and softer touch. Tubing extrusion helps to create plastic tubes.
