After Instruction Report • The AIR is a single document that summarizes one-iteration of a lesson • To have an effective AIR, the following must be completed: • Collect data • Analyze data • Record data • Make recommendations • Reassess ORAW • Submit the completed AIR.
After Instruction Report • Collect Data • Done through Two Sources: • Students • IRF • Instructors • Observation of students • Time • Opininions
After Instruction Report • Analyze Data • Problems with the course material • Problems with student performance • Problems with instructor performance • Problems with the instructional environment
After Instruction Report • Record Data • Lesson Identifying Information • Instructional Rating Form (IRF) Data
After Instruction Report • Make Recommendations: • Recommendations come in the form of instructor comments • A statement of the problem • The probable cause • All possible alternative solutions
After Instruction Report • Reassess ORAW • New safety requirements are identified during the lesson • Additional controls used • Other instructors will benefit in the future
After Instruction Report • Submit AIR • Chief Instructor • SNCOIC • Check For Accuracy • Review Recommendations • Make Recommendation for: • Lesson Plan • Instructor
