A. Others -Respect for others trying to learn -Respect for teachers -Respect for your parents
B. Yourself -Respect for yourself -Respect for your education -Respect for your well being
C. The school -Respect for school materials- books, desks, lockers, hallways, rooms -Respect for SRMS!
-Raise your hand to speak. -Raise your hand to answer or ask questions.
A. DO NOT call out! -Show courtesy when others are thinking.
B. Many opportunities to talk in class. -Group work -Projects
D. Raise your hand for a hall pass -Use of Lavatories -Office pass -Locker pass
E. Raise your hand to sharpen your pencil -Raise hand and wave pencil in the air -Do not disrupt others while sharpening
3. Be prepared -Writing utensil -Paper to write on -Anything you need to help you succeed
Be on time -Be in seat when the bell rings -Have all materials ready
Verbal punishment -Whisper privately during group or individual work -Stop teaching to fix problem
D. Removal from activity or class -If working in groups, you will be removed and work individually -If I or a peer is teaching, you will be sent to hallway *Further action to follow
Move seat -time-out -permanent seat change
B. Restrict activities -removal from all group activities -removal from class games and class bonuses
C. Detention -lunch detention -after school detention

At the beginning of each class, you will be given 5 minutes to: A. Prepare SS materials B. Copy and answer the day’s “Daily Question” into notebook C. Sharpen pencil D. Retrieve any missing assignments E. Update Notebooks
2. If absent, take this time to retrieve missing assignments from the bins -bins marked M T W Th F -Always welcome during last period -Website can be used
3. If you are ABSENT: A. If absent from class, YOU are responsible for all work covered during your absence B. If you have a PLANNED early dismissal (sports, appt.’s, etc.) YOU are responsible for coming to me and getting materials and homework

5. After 5 minutes of housekeeping, class will promptly begin: -Power Point notes -Group work activities -Graphic organizers -Videos and YouTube -Projects!
6. Last 5 minutes of class for REVIEW -cards -skits -mini-games
7. Homework will be given frequently-Homework is always worth points-In order to obtain FULL credit, homework must be turned in on the day it is due-Homework turned in a day late will receive HALF credit-Homework turned in after that will receive no credit
8. In addition to the homework that is assigned, you should REVIEW that day’s notes or activities each night *REVIEW of your material is CRUCIAL!!! -use of cards
Your grade is calculated by total points and then translated into a percentage. • These percentages equal certain grades.
A+ = 100 - 97% A = 96.9 - 93% A- = 92.9 – 90% B+ = 89.9 – 87% B = 86.9 – 83% B- = 82.9 – 80% C+ = 79.9 –77% C = 76.9 – 73% C- = 72.9% - 70% *D+ = 69.9 – 67% D = 66.9 – 63% D- = 62.9 – 60% E = 59.9% and below *Parents are notified at D+ or below
You will be graded on: 1. Tests 2. Notebooks (class work) 3. Homework 4. Essays, projects, oral presentations
