The Vermont Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and the Vermont Department of Education The 3rd Annual Core Transition Team Peer Learning Event Thursday, April 30th, 2009 **7 Locations Statewide** This will be a FREE virtual event “In the Clouds” for Core Transition Teams at a site conveniently located near you! Local teams will be linked with other teams state-wide via new technology.

Use a new medium for hosting Statewide and local events • Recognize and celebrate the work of the Core Transition Teams in Vermont • Learn how to work with technology to increase your participation in professional events • Improve individual practice regarding the transition process • Network and access the advantages of working as a team • Outline local plans to build, strengthen and sustain their Core Transition Team • Chose your next “In the Clouds” workshops that you can access at your convenience whenever and wherever that works for you • Learn about web based seminars and other transition resources that will make your job easier • Do you “wikki" yet? You will after participating in this cutting edge, greenEvent!

The Conference • Eight sites in Vermont with additional sites in Kansas, North Carolina and Washington D.C. • 166 Registrants and 6 speakers • We had 32 transitions: change in the speaker and numerous changes in the medium • Music, video, power points, live Q & A • Each site had a Site Manager and a Clerk of the Works • Training, training and more training • Technical components of each site

  8. iLinc Green Meter Assumptions • To calculate savings, Green Meter measures the following aspects of each meeting participant: mileage the participant would have traveled to the meeting; gallons of gas saved, at 25 miles per gallon; gas reimbursement savings, at 42 cents per gallon; travel time to meeting location, at 40 mph; and the cost of paying the employee for time traveled, at $25 per hour.
