  3. Why are so many people under unemployment?

  4. Brief introduction • 1) because of China‘s state-owned enterprise reform ，which will inevitably accompanied by technological advances and configuration of the labor market . According to a variety of information on more conservative estimates, the resulting unemployment is about 20 million people.

  5. Brief introduction • 2)the increasing population from 1996,China had entered its population peak . During this period, there will be about 54 million new labor force in need of employment in cities and towns , and our country in the same period can only provide about 38 million job opportunities.

  7. The main reasons of unemployment • 1)related to China’s fundamental realities of the country • China has a huge population, but a weak economic foundation with relatively inadequate resources per capita. • Unable to provide enough jobs

The main reasons of unemployment • 2) related to our country accumulated contradictions and its exposure and release in a short time • With the reform of economic ,enterprises begin to change from planned economy to market economy at the same time. In this situation, enterprises had to lay off its employees and enhance productivity.

  9. The main reasons of unemployment • 3) related to our country industrial structure adjustment and transformation • After reform , many enterprises had to cut down its large production capacity and the departments which were unnecessary. It will make lots of people losing their jobs.

The main reasons of unemployment • 4) related to the level of production technology and business progress • Along with the occurrence of three scientific and technological revolutions, science and technology are at an alarming rate in the rapid development . And many jobs have been mechanized.
