United Way Information LOCAL: United Way is a nonprofit organization that is helping to improve lives and community conditions. Money raised here stays here and supports individuals and families in all communities in Washington County. DIVERSE: United Way supports 33 local programs through 20 agencies that are addressing critical issues such as domestic abuse, hunger, homelessness, services for people with disabilities and services for seniors.
United Way Information BROAD REACH: Last year over 28,000 services were utilized from United Way funded programs. ACCOUNTABLE: Local volunteers determine agency funding every year and are responsible for: Reviewing agency budgets, conducting on-site inspections of programs, and reviewing agency results.

Southeast Interfaith Caregivers Lutheran Social Services Nova Services Senior Citizens Activities The Threshold Volunteer Center The Youth & Family Project American Red Cross Big Brothers Big Sisters Boy Scouts – Bay Lakes Council Boy Scouts – Potawatomi Area Council Boys & Girls Club Casa Guadalupe Citizen Advocacy Council of Alcohol & Other Drug Abuse Dona Lexa Community Art Center Family Center In addition, two new organizations are being funded that support emerging needs: Consumer Credit Counseling Services and Family Promise
Funding Distributed by Areas of Need Each year United Way volunteers base program funding decisions on the outcomes and results obtained by each partner agency’s programs.
Funding Distributed by Areas of Need Supporting People in Crisis Programs that provide food, shelter, resource needs & support to people during a crisis or disaster. . Strengthening Families & Communities Programs that provide family information, support and counseling and that promote good health and volunteerism. Developing Successful Children & Youth Programs that build developmental assets and provide services to children and youth. Promoting Self-Sufficiency Programs that promote inclusivity, enable all people to be as self-sufficient as possible and participate in the community.

Leadership Giving Challenge Match – any new gift of $750 or more or increased gift within leadership giving to the next leadership level will be matched 100% by West Bend Mutual Insurance.
