E2B Initiative - Status • Follow up of the Sherpa’s report: • - Report sent to President Barroso and Commissioners • - Report sent to ITRE Committee, invitation received by ITRE to meet in the future • - An hearing on financial issues and simplification was organised by the Parliament Budget Committee, in April, Clean Sky spoke as representative of JTIs • - EC sent out recommendations to revise the financial regulations, there is text that take on board the four options for the Governance proposed in the Sherpa’s Report
E2B Initiative - Status • European Competitiveness council conclusions (may 2010) • Decision was taken to maintain the support to the PPP on Energy Efficient Buildings, considered as one of the test-beds for the implementation of all future PPPs (in the future FP)
E2B Initiative - Status • Key events: • - meeting of two industry representatives (Joaquín Mollinedo – Acciona; M Gaetan Desruelles Bouygues) with the Commissioners • - A meeting with newly appointed DG RTD Head, Robert-Ian Smits could be organised after the meeting with the two commissioners to bring forward any major findings/guidelines for future implementation
E2B Initiative - Status • AIAG role as EC interlocutor for the implementation of the EEB PPP has been confirmed • Last AIAG meeting with EC, the Commission confirmed the idea to pick inputs for the drafting of the work-programme from the Roadmap • The role of E2BA as the dissemination platform for ongoing projects has been preliminary discussed
E2B Initiative - Status • E2BA is in the process of recruiting one staff member to be mainly involved in the managements of the E2BA participation in the Building-up CSA
E2B Initiative - Status • Communication aspects • - E2BA is about to draft a communication plan addressing internal comm (towards the members), strategic comm (towards EU institutions) as well as broader comm to engage new members and create awareness • - In this framework E2BA members attended to info days and events across EU to present the work carried out and the opportunities to become members of E2BA • - Both open and exclusive brokerage events have been organised • - E2BA website will be redesigned
E2B Initiative - Status • Additional services to members • - A training course has been organised in Brussels concerning the preparation of proposals in response to EC calls. Such course was positively evaluated by the 20 participating E2BA members.
