  2. Purpose of Clinic • To build a PC at the clinic from parts. • Present theory on how it is done. • Provide a parts list to allow others to duplicate the process. • Create a state of the art computer for minimal costs. • Use the Web to order all components.

Components • Case – Gazelle (micro ATX) – Tiger Direct - $59 • Motherboard – Gigabyte (GA-K8VM800M) Socket 754 AMD 64 Athelon - ZipZoomFly - $74 • DVD dual layer writer – Dumping Goods - $53 • CPU AMD 64 bit 2800+ - ZoomZipFly - $120 • RAM 512Mb DDR400 – ZoomZipFly - $73 • Harddrive Maxstor 200 Gbyte – Dumping Goods -$95 • Floppy drive - $14 • Total Costs = $488 Plus CA tax and shipping

What shall we do with this state of the art computer? • Raffle it of at $10/ticket? • Ask for volunteers to buy it at cost, and hold a lottery if we get more than one volunteer? • The total cost will be about $600 when the operating system is included. • Monitor, mouse and keyboard are extra • How many people plan to attend this clinic?
