WHAT DOES TRUTH DO? *POSITIVE THINGS: 1st: Truth makes our worship pleasing to God: (Jn.4:24) (Mt.15:9) • FIVE ACTS GIVEN IN THE BIBLE: • Teaching or preaching> (Acts 2:42) • 2. Praying> (Acts 2:42) • 3. Vocal Music singing> (Eph.5:19; Col.3:16) • 4. Giving> (1Cor.16:2) • 5. Lords Supper or Communion> ( Acts 20:7)
(Acts 2:42) And they continued stedfastly in the apostles'doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. (Eph.5:19) Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; (Col.3:16) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. WHAT DOES TRUTH DO? *POSITIVE THINGS: 1st: Truth makes our worship pleasing to God: (Jn.4:24) (Mt.15:9) 2nd: Truth is what makes you free: (Jn.8:31-32;36) 3rd: Truth will sanctify you: (Jn.17:17) *NEGATIVE THINGS: 4th: Truth will bring persecution: (2Tim.3:12) 5th: Truth will make enemies: (Gal.4:16)
WHAT SHOULD WE DO? A. Don’t preach the truth to our neighbors or family members who are not Christians or who have joined themselves to a denomination because we might make them mad! We might ruin our relationship with them. B. Don’t preach the truth from the pulpit or tell a brother or sister they are in error because we might offend them and they might shun us and not speak to us anymore.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO? *BIBLE GIVES THE ANSWER! (Gal.1:10) For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
