NEXT: Look for the BLUE box, in this example machine limits are 24 and 4 thousandths of an inch. These are good values used to scale a single facer meter roll gap. Copar recommends that for scaling purposes do not go over 25 thousands of an inch. To change these values “touch the field in question” then using the keyboard, enter the new value. Note these values are for scaling only.
NEXT: Adjust the machine meter roll gap to the value displayed, Example 4 thousandths. Once the meter roll gap MEASURED = Min Gap Example Blue box 4.0 thousands. Then Press “SF Min”, located in the RED box. You will notice the current value will move / copy into the Min. Count field within the RED box.
NEXT: Adjust the machine meter roll gap to the value displayed, Example 24 thousands. Once the meter roll gap MEASURED = Max Gap Example Blue box 24.0 thousandths. Then Press “SF Max”, located in the RED box. You will notice the current value will move / copy into the Max. Count field within the RED box.
NEXT: If satisfied with your results, “Press the Send Config button“ within the BROWN box. Otherwise repeat the procedure.
CAUTION. If the Min Count and Max Count values are equal, then the output from the Gap sensor has failed. Please check the integrity of the sensor and sensor wiring, if unable to resolve this issue. Edit the Min Count value to (0). Then contact Copar service department for assistance. 708-496-1859.
