Hugo M.B. den Boogert All lifting documents to be reviewed, updated and structured in PDO format; Review supply chain; Review maintenance strategies, - routines; Review competence schemes for trainers, operators, maintainers and inspectors; Raising awareness of the hazards associated with lifting operations.

    9. Hugo M.B. den Boogert Established base line by visiting sites / training institutes and lifting inspection companies; Procedure review and re-writing procedures; Completed and approved: Code of Practice CP-189 Lifting and Hoisting; PR-1708 Inspection, Testing, Certification; PR-1709 Lift planning/- execution. SP-1251 Training Requirements for Lifting Operations personnel. Implementation for new contracts completed; Implementation on existing contracts etc. in process; Started compliance auditing.

    10. Hugo M.B. den Boogert New (did not exist) top document CP-189, describing the processes of design, procurement, inspection etc.; Compliance to EP-2005-0264 Hoisting and Lifting; Link between PDOs HSE-, EP- and other docs; (Added) acceptance criteria to inspection procedure; Inclusion loose lifting appliances such as for example chain blocks in 6 monthly visual examination/color coding regime; Roles and responsibilities added/expanded, such as for instance the PIC or person in charge;

    12. Hugo M.B. den Boogert Improved Safety in PDOs Lifting Operations: -Better guidance in the planning and execution of lifting and hoisting operations; -Common standard of operation for PDO as well as Contractors: -Better management of risks to ALARP level -Enhanced integrity of lifting equipment. Reduced HSE risk levels in PDO: -Reduction of occurrence and likelihood of HSE catastrophes / incidents (Move from yellow to green on UEOD Risk Matrix).

    13. Hugo M.B. den Boogert Savings by: Avoiding internal duplication of work because of common standard of operation for PDO as well as Contractors; Establishing Safe lifting operations in PDO, including those managed by Contractors. There will be a reduction in occurrence and likelihood of incidents (moving from high risk to medium risk on UEOD Risk matrix, which indicates a value of US$ 40 million). See also next slides.
