  1. Glossary - "OP" ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVW Onscreen Calculator - is a software program that places a standard or modified calculator on the computer screen. The keys are selected by a mouse, touch screen, trackball, joystick, switch, or electronic pointing device. Onscreen Keyboard - software program that places a standard or modified keyboard on the computer screen . The keys are selected by a mouse, touch screen, trackball, joystick, switch, or electronic pointing device. Optical Character Recognition (OCR)- OCR software works with a scanner to convert images from a printed page into a standard computer file. A scanner is a device that converts an image from a printed page to a computer file. With optical character recognition software, the resulting computer file can be edited. Pictures and photographs do not require OCR software to be manipulated. ORDER Routine (SIM™) - aligns higher-order skills with systematic procedures. To check and summarize content learning, including discrete facts and comprehension, students are guided in identifying key lesson content and its expository relationships and in graphically representing what they know. The products of the routine include improved comprehension and a device useful for reference and further studying. Use of any Strategic Instruction Model (SIM) ™ Learning Strategy and/or Content Enhancement Routine and materials requires professional development by a SIM ™ certified professional developer.
