UTM Find My Transport!: One-Stop Mobile Solution for University Transportation Needs

Introducing the Aksara Green project developed by UTM, aiming to assist students, parents, and visitors in navigating the transportation services at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The application provides information on bus alerts, taxi services, delivery, and car rentals within UTM, enhancing accessibility and convenience for users. With a user-friendly interface, the app helps students easily book services online, manage their budget, and receive reminders for bus schedules. This innovative solution addresses the transportation challenges faced by students, particularly freshmen who are restricted from bringing vehicles on campus. Through the One-Stop Centre app, UTM community members can efficiently access transportation services, thereby optimizing their daily commute experience.

  1. Proposal Presentation The Aksara Green project : UTM Find My Transport!Application

  2. Introduction and Objective • As we know , not all people have an afford to belonging transport like a car or motorcycle to go to anywhere . Due to that , One stop centre is an application that will hybrid the service like a taxi , car rental , delivery and bus . • Objective • Easily booking the service through online • Help user to save a budget • Remind user when they wanted to use service like bus • User can check availability and rate for the service

  3. Problem/Identify Issue • Problem issue in UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia (UTM) : • Student do not have transport to go to anywhere especially first year student which do not allow to bring any vehicle by management of university .

Proposed Solution • One stop centre is a mobile application that is designed to help new students, parents and visitors to discover about a dozen of facilities of UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia (UTM). Using this application, user can :- • Get transportation’s information such as bus alert function, taxi, delivery and car rental in UTM

  5. Target Users • Students-Basically, our target for students are the fresh student in which they always find a hard way to find a taxi, car delivery or car rental services nearby.

  6. Background / Review of Past Work • Nowadays , we had known that in UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia (UTM), there are many facilities that have given benefits to students , visitor and others . The facilities are transportation , navigation , event and ecotourism . • Transportation • However , the facilities like transportation do not use wisely by student , especially bus this is because students feel that they are wasting time to wait the arriving of the bus eventhough the schedule was provided . • Reference for review past work : • http://www.utm.my/transportation

  7. Assumption and Claim • Transportation- Students will be provided with UTM Shuttle Bus schedule and they can activate if they want to set alarm for certain bus around their college or faculty.- Students also will be provided with the list of taxi, delivery and car rental services contact numbers. This feature is not concluded in other UTM application neither in UTM web.
