Shooting • To properly take a decent shot with the Canon Rebel Xs you need to the following things. • Focus the Camera on the subject. • Make Sure your hands/tripod is steady and not shaking. • Make sure the aperture and ISO settings are set correctly for proper exposure.
Image Quality • To Change The Image Quality you need to change the setting on the camera. • It has several settings • Large fine, Large normal, Medium fine and so on. • All that changes are the amount of pixels that the camera captures in a picture • For example Large fine would be 4000x3000 pixels and small normal would be 800x600 pixels as an example.
Focusing • To focus the camera you either set it to auto focus and the camera detects and focuses for you • Or you can chose manual focus, where you turn the focusing ring on the lens until your subject is crisp and clear.
Safety Precautions • Some Safety Precautions for this camera are • Don’t use a different battery then the one given with the camera. • Don’t drop the camera • Don’t expose to excessive heat or magnetic fields as this may cause the camera to malfunction or picture data may be lost

Menu Operations • The menu is complex on this camera. • It allows you to change several settings • Iso Setting, Aperture Setting, Zoom Setting, Image Quality Setting, and many more….. • This camera has so many settings that you could literally sit all day and adjust settings!!!
Basic Shooting • For Basic shooting there are a few kinds of shots • There is a portrait, landscape and sports to name a few • For portrait you have to focus closely on your subject and get the focus just right. • For a landscape you have to focus and get the light just right for it to be a perfect shot • For a sports shot its hard to focus because the subject is moving. You use something called image stabilizer and a high shutter speed
Setting White Balence • To set the white balance you just have to set your camera to the white balance setting then adjust it with the spinning wheel on the front of the camera. It’s as simple as that!
Preventing camera shake • To prevent camera shake you have to set the camera on something or rest part of your arms on something to make it so the image won’t look blurry • Or you can just use a tripod and make your picture perfect the easy way
Flash control • To adjust the flash you go into the menu settings and select flash intensity or in some camera modes you can adjust it right on screen to make the flash perfect and not to bright. • Or you can adjust the flash to Auto and it automatically adjusts for you to make your picture perfect.
Search for images quickly • To search for images on your camera quickly you got to zoom out so you can see all the images instead of one then you can find them quickly. Easy as that!
