How is the course going to look like? Content: • Introductory lesson by CNAS and Amcham (splitting into teams, introducing the curriculum and the common denominator: Steve and his Smart Team that is in the company Leadership Program) • The „company part“ will take altogether 10 classes (10x90 minutes) • Wrapping-up lesson by CNAS and Amcham Course Characteristics: • The course is considered as an elective - pass/fail course • Interaction + English language
Steve and his Leadership Program • Steve is a young talent in the company • He was selected with his Smart Team to go through the company departments, learn how they work and suggest solutions to problems they are dealing with • Steve is the future of the company so he needs to know how to solve all its problems Students impersonated into the role of Steve and his Smart Team • At the beginning of the course students will be divided into Smart Teams that will choose their Steve • Best performing Steve and his Team will be awarded by AMCHAM

Theoretical Part – Week A What is going to be delivered? • Short quiz – readings • Topic definition and explanation why is it important for the company • What is special in company´s corporate model within this topic? • Show (announcement)of a Case Study and explanation how to analyze it. Presentation of the issue discussed and desirable outcome (solution proposition)
Compulsory readings for studentsto be checked in the beginning of every theoretical lecture Company materials or case study • Books, videos or articles • Reading materials will be uploaded online on www.euba.sk/cnas • Alternatively delivered by email (cnas@euba.sk) • Will be applicable to Steve's tasks in his leadership program
Theoretical Part – Week B • Smart Teams present theirproposal how they intend to deal with the case study, how to dissolve the big problem into smaller problems, how to come up with solutions • Presentation of the proposals (outcomes) + feed back • Every team presents (10-15 minutes) • Steve is the spokesman. Every time Steve is someone • else from the team • Lecturer presents the real case solution chosen by the company
Evaluation of Students • Pass / Fail course – 3 ECTS • Attendance (10 out of 12 classes) • Small quiz (2 questions at your first lecture to check whether the reading assingment has been read) • Five team assignments over the term
