DVD’s and DVD Drives have become an important part of our lives. We use them to transfer data, store photos, burn music and watch movies. But not many know the full capabilities of such a powerful technology. Introduction

Most commonly known as Single-Sided Double Layer (Dual Layer). • It can hold up to 7.95 GB of data. • It is supported by the DVD+R and DVD-R formats. DVD - 9
Most commonly known as Double – Sided Single Layer. • It can hold up to 8.75 GB of data. • It is supported by DVD+R/RW and DVD-R/RW formats. DVD – 10
Most commonly known as Double-Sided Double Layer. • It can hold up to 15.9 GB of data. • It is supported by the DVD+R format. • Aren’t as popular as the previously mentioned. DVD - 18
