  1. United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database (COMTRADE)

COMTRADE is the largest database on product trade flows with more than 1.5 billion records (Nomenclature, year, flow, product, reporter, partner) • Yearly time series available from 1962 until 2008 in US dollars • Trade data available in HS revision 2007, 2002, 1996, 1992 and SITC revision 4, 3, 2 or 1 and BEC • More than 160 countries or territories have reported trade data for around 5300 different products in HS 6-digits level • Source of data are mainly National Statistical Offices Data coverage

Options to create your own group of products or countries • Options to save your data query • For subscribing users, options to download large volume of data into batch requests or via web services and save it in csv/text format • Widely used by international organizations (ITC, WTO, UNCTAD, the World Bank, etc.), government entities, research institutions and the general public • Annual merchandise trade data available in databases of ITC, in WITS, BACI, WISERTrade are mostly sourced directly from UN Comtrade via automated data exchange COMTRADE characteristic
