Detailed instructions on calibrating hydraulic valves and sensors for optimal machine performance. Covering blade slope, rotation sensors, mainfall sensors, and electric mast calibration. Includes tips for sensor maintenance and calibration procedures. Ensure accurate readings with step-by-step guidance.

Sensor Calibration • Depending on the machine configuration, the following options are available under Configuration / Calibrate Sensors • Mainfall, blade slope and rotation sensors • Calibrate sensors together or individually • Electric mast
Mainfall, Blade Slope and Rotation Sensors • All sensors are calibrated together in this option • Performed when the machine is first installed or when the accuracy of the system does not meet spec. • Follow the instructions on the “wizard”
Sensor Calibration - Blade Slope • Perform a blade slope calibration when only the blade slope calibration is suspect • E.g. Blade is badly worn or cutting edge has been replaced since the last sensor calibration.
Sensor Calibration – Mainfall Sensor • Perform a mainfall sensor calibration when only the mainfall sensor reading is suspect • Make sure the machine is parked on flat level ground and press “Calibrate” • This function zeros the sensor
Sensor Calibration – Electric Mast • EM400 is a mechanical device • EM400 calibration allows us to reset zero point • Maintains integrity of dimensions against EM400 extension
Valve Calibration - Basics • Allows smooth automatic control • GCS900 monitors the valve movement and computes a response curve. • Before starting the valve calibration you need to ensure that the machine measurements are entered into the CB430 • The valve calibration should be done with warm oil and at normal operating revs. • Valve calibration can only be done using the AS400 (and not a LR410 or GPS) • May need to temporarily mag mount AS400 on blade
Valve Calibration • Must be in Manager mode • Setup / Installation Menu / Valve Calibration • Select “Left” or “Right” valve
Left Valve Calibration • A set of screens follow – perform the instructions
Left Valve Calibration • Place in Auto • Press the Auto/Manual switch • System will then automatically move the blade and monitor the movement against the valve command
Right Valve Calibration • Process is similar to the “Left” calibration
