Eastlake’s Goals for SATA Our Goal is to prepare a generation of critical thinkers who are able to use computing to develop solutions to complex problems.
Why computer science? The number of job openings projected in 2018 for computer specialists will reach 1.4 million!
SATA Requirements • Complete five or more courses in CS • Enroll in at least two P/AP credit courses in math and science each year • Participate in a minimum of two UIL or TSA competitions • Complete a senior year project. • Recommended Language: Chinese
SATA Requirements for Stole • Maintain grades at 80 or above • 150 Community Service hours • Complete all SATA requirements.
Freshmen: Computer Science and Software Engineering - PLTW Develop Programming Expertise Projects Include: Game Development App Development Visualization of Data Cyber Security Simulation HTML/CSS, PHP for Website Design

Sophomores: AP Computer Science A - PLTW Create Android Apps using real world tools! Programming Languages: Java, XML Projects Include: Social media app Mobile game with LibGDX (used to make Pokemon Go ) Google Play Store Publishing
Juniors: Specialization courses (1 year) • Cybersecurity • Robotics and Automation • For students interested in Engineering • Independent Studies of Technology • Game Design and Development • Using Unity with C# (Used to make several games on our phones and online) • Website Development • See what happens behind the scenes
Capstone: Computational Problem Solving - PLTW Find a problem and solve it using computing!
