MEASURABLE OUTCOME At the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to name 3 of the top 10 least demonstrated practice needs as indicated in the 2005 NISOA Referee Development Report.
Report Purpose • Develop a profile of referee performance characteristics of an “average” NISOA Referee. • Develop a multi-year NISOA action plan for focused clinics to improve performance.
Data Collection • Assessment forms were submitted to NISOA without individual identification data. • Standard NISOA assessment forms were used for efficient data compilation.

Summary of Results Other Identified Practice Needs • Less than 60% effectiveness • Acknowledges trifling fouls • Deals with encroachment • Enforces the required distance on free kicks • Applies advantage effectively and appropriately.
