Control – Emergency Calls • Control staff receive more than 20,000 calls per year • They obtain enough information within 90 seconds to mobilise a response • Calls can be for minor or major incidents • Callers can be trapped, frightened, injured and often distressed
Community Safety • Provide fire safety advice to vulnerable members of the community • Provide specialist equipment to reduce the risk of fire related deaths and injuries • Work with partners to mitigate risk & vulnerability to all • Engage with local authority teams to prevent harm in relation to abuse and neglect

Emergency First Responders • An EFR will be dispatched at the same time as an ambulance. • Located within local communities could mean they’re nearer to the scene and can deliver critical lifesaving care.

Changing behaviour to save lives The Changing Behaviour to Save Lives programme aims to help keep people safe by applying a social marketing approach to create positive and sustainable behaviour changes.
