Born William Thomson was born in Belfast, Ireland, the fourth of seven children. His mother died when he was young. They relocated at Scotland in the early 1830s.
Where he did work He worked in electricity and magnetism led to James Clerk Maxwell’s theory of electromagnetism .
Most famous for William Thomas was most famous for creating Kelvin. Kelvin is the absolute temperature scale. He also contributed the determination of the age of the earth and study of hydrodynamics.
Summary Thomas was the first mathematical development based on Faraday’s idea. Thomas became a well-known independent scientist who went on to attend the British Associate for the Advancement of Science. In the 1800s Thomas worked to make perfection in adjustable compasses.
