  2. What is Halloween? • Halloween is on October 31. • Holidays are made up of different beliefs. Celts prayed to the gods of dead believed in good and evil spirits. Also were glad harvest was done. Roman’s feasts prayed for dead and to the goddess of the harvest.

  3. Halloween began… • Romans beat Celts combined customs and prayed for all people who died on All Hallow’sDay

  4. Halloween Symbols • Colors are black and orange. • Witches • Ghosts

  5. Celebrated in other countries • Canada and Ireland: trick or treat, have parties, and wear costumes. • Mexico and Spain- honor their dead family members.
