  4. “COWARD” A person who shows fear or timidity. Cowardice, in general terms, is perceived failure to demonstrate sufficient robustness in the face of a challenging situation.

  6. “The Plot Summary” This story takes place in Carn Du which is a small fishing village somewhere on the Cornish coast most likely in the 19th century. However the most important parts of the story specifically take place either at sea or at “The Black Rock”

  7. Views on the Book: Harry Paul is the leading role/character in the story. He is pressured by the other older fishermen to jump off the Black Rock. It was used as a right of passasge.
