MISSION The Center provides programs, resources and relationships for the UC Irvine entrepreneurial community to enhance their ability to successfully transfer new ideas into business ventures. Introducing the Merage School Business Plan Competition • Eleventh year running • Provides deal flow to • Tech Coast Angels, Orange County • Venture Capital~Private Equity Roundtable, Palo Alto • Open to all UCI students, researchers and faculty • Each team must have at least 3 members • Each team must have at least 2 full time, currently registered UCI students, one must be a Merage student
Benefits of Participation • Key skill to have whatever one does in life • Develop team leadership and business creation skills • Consummate networking opportunity: meet investors • $30,000 in cash awards • Free download of Business Plan Pro by Palo Alto Software • 4 great skills workshops taught by experts in their fields • Potentially create first job out of college • Semi-Finalists post elevator pitch at OC Register.com • Bottom line: It’s about realizing dreams
