Description • Kenya is located in Eastern Africa • Population of 41 million • It is most known for is beautiful wild life • Languages: English, Kiswahili, and numerous indigenous languages • Religions: Protestant, Roman Catholic, Indigenous beliefs, Muslim, and other • Nairobi is the capital and largest city in Kenya • Soccer is the most popular sport • The red stripe on their flag represents the struggle for independence
Major Causes of Water Issues • When Kenya's water was low in their dams they could not produce energy to filter their water. • People are putting waste and urban chemicals in the water. • Global warming is another cause. There have been more droughts in Kenya so there water supply is even less.
Effects • The lack of safe drinking water has caused dehydration, starvation and diseases. Even fetching water is becoming harder to do, people walk as far as 10 miles to get to a polluted, dirty hand-dug well.
Solutions • Numbers of organizations are picking up the slack of Kenya’s government and health problems by providing them health care services and water solutions
How We Would Resolve It • We would send money to organizations that are already helping it. To help support the cause. • Setting up a sewage system that is efficient
