  7. CIEMAT contribution to HL-LHC CIEMAT is in charge of the MCBX nested corrector Conceptual design Prototype Manufacturing Prototype Test (in collaboration with CERN)

CIEMAT contribution to HL-LHC Schedule: • Mid 2014: Conceptual design. • Early 2015: Design report and drawings. • Early 2016: Completed prototype. • Late 2016: Tests at 4.2K * Caution: The iron holes configuration that is shown at this presentation corresponds to the long version of the magnet. Specifications of MCBX H&V: • Combined Dipole: Square operation range in X-Y. • Aperture = Ø150 mm • Working Temperature= 1.9 K • Integrated Field = 2.5 Tm • Length ≅ 1.2 m
