  4. Trivandrum City : Half Day Tour Padmanabhaswamy Temple Distance from Kovalam : 12 Kilometres The Padmanabhaswamy Temple around which the City literally developed, is an architectural wonder. Situated in the heart of the old city, the massive structure has a staggering 100 feet high "Gopuram", the main temple tower. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the family deity of the Royal Family of Travancore to whom the Temple belongs, the massive idol in the sanctum measures 18 feet in length and is covered with gold and other precious stones. Temple timings are 03:30 – 04:45 hrs, 06:30 – 0700 hrs, 0830 -10:00 hrs,10:30 -11:10 hrs, 11:45-12:00 hrs 17:00 – 18:15 hrs and 18:45 -19:20 hrs Dress code :Men - Dhoti / Women - Saree. The Temple is open only to Hindus.

  5. Napier Museum & Horse Palace Museum Distance from Kovalam : 16 & 12 Kilometers The Napier Museum The Horse Palace Visiting Hours:10:00 -16:45 Hrs. Closed on Mondays (Lunch break 13:00 - 14:00 Hrs). This palace was built by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal Balarama Varma, the King of Travancore, a great poet, musician, social reformer and statesman, in the mid 9th century. This rare specimen of workmanship in the traditional Travancore style of architecture has exquisite wood carvings. The palace museum displays paintings and various priceless collections of the Royal Family and is located near the Padmanabha Swamy Temple Visiting Hours : 10:00 – 16:45 Hrs. Closed on Mondays & Wednesday forenoons (Lunch break 13:00-14:00 Hrs). Built in the 19th century, this Indo - Saracenic structure boasts a natural air conditioning system and houses a rare collection of archaeological and historic artifacts, bronze idols, ancient ornaments, a temple chariot and ivory carvings.

Sri Chithira Art Gallery Distance from Kovalam : 16 KMS Visiting Timings : 10:00-16:45 hrs, closed on Mondays & Wednesdays forenoon (Lunch break 13:00 - 14:00 Hrs) The Sree Chithira Art Gallery features a rare collection of paintings by Raja Ravi Varma and Roerich among others, and fascinating works from the Mughal, Rajput and Tanjore schools of art. An oriental collection consisting of paintings from China, Japan, Tibet and Bali offers a visual treat and are a tribute to the art and culture of these countries.

Thiruvananthapuram Golf Club Distance from the hotel: 18 KMS The Trivandrum golf course was laid out in the 1850s during the days of the late Maharajah Sree Moolam Thirunal, and is one of the oldest in the world. The royal family of erstwhile Travancore had established this golf course even before the Americans and the Europeans took to the game. The nine-hole golf course is one of the smallest in the country, but one of the prettiest, the 25 acres has over 3,400 trees belonging to over 1,000 species and is one of the green lungs of the city. Neyyar Dam Half Day Trip Distance from Kovalam : 45 Kilometres A repository of some of the rarest medicinal herbs, the Neyyar Dam is a popular picnic spot with a lake and a picturesque dam site. The lake formed by the dam across the Neyyar river offers boating. A crocodile breeding centre and a lion safari park are also located nearby.
