  1. Five Things to Know Before Getting a Tan Summers and spring break are the best time to hit the beach and get a tan. Some do it the natural way with excessive exposure to the sun, and some visit a tanning salon. Many fail to understand that tanning salons might offer a quicker way of getting that orangey golden tan; they also increase the risk of skin cancer. The UV rays thrown towards the person lying inside the tanning bed can increase their risk of severe skin burns, rashes, and other skin conditions. With that said, many people believe that buying tanning pills will get them the intended results immediately. It is here that one should gather complete knowledge about what tanning is and how to stay safe.

  2. First things first, let us first understand what a tan is.First things first, let us first understand what a tan is. 1. Know the Basics When one lies down in the sun to get a tan, the UVA radiation is what provides them with the golden brown glow.  The UVA rays easily penetrate the lower layers of epidermis where it activates melanocytes, the cells that produce melanin. For those not aware of the science of melanin, it is a brown pigment, which causes the skin to darken and provide a tan. It is the body’s way to keep the skin safe from burning. Unfortunately, the tanning beds often compromise the protection causing damage to the DNA, which can increase the risk of skin cancer. 2. Tanning Can Lead to Skin Changes Skin   changes  occurring  after   longterm   exposure   to  the   sun directly or tanning beds are not a pretty sight.  The exact cause of premature aging is not clear, but unprotected exposure to the harmful UV rays can break down the collagen.  It also breaks the elastin fibers, which can lead to wrinkles and loosened skin folds. Sunburn can also result in permanent skin darkening, dark spots, and leathery skin texture.

  3. One should try for the  tanning pills  that do not contain any harmful compounds and provide a safe tan. 3. Always Use SPF Whether lying on the beach in moderate weather or hot weather, clouds would not protect the skin from the UV rays.  One needs to understand that UV rays affect specific parts of the body more than others do.  These include hands and face, in particular, so make sure to cover both of these to prevent early aging. The individual should make sure they do not wash hands and rub, which can remove the sunscreen and expose the skin to sun damage. 4. There Are Alternatives to Tan With the advancement in medical science, one need not spend their money on risky tanning salons or lie down in the sun for hours.  There are  tanning pills  available, which can help one get the desired result without compromising on their skin. In short, no more damage to the skin. 5. Cover the Eyes Often in the excitement to get a tan many forget to cover their eyes, which is a big mistake.

  4. The eyes have a pigment similar to the one in the skin. ExposureThe eyes have a pigment similar to the one in the skin. Exposure to the UV rays can damage this pigment. In case the person has light eyes, then it becomes more important to wear sunglasses to cover the eyes from direct sunlight or any reflections. Endnote When one wants to get that golden brown glow without any risk of skin rashes, burns, or skin cancer, they can look for  tanning pills  to get the desired result. These contain natural ingredients, which do not harm the skin.
