THE VACUUM DRYING UNITS BY EDB Fakel THE PURPOSE OF THE MISSION • The building of units for vacuum drying of the grain and beans ( wheat, rape, maize, sunflower, coffee etc. ), sea products ( obtaining agar-agar from sea red algae, dried fish ), vegetables, fruit etc. THE EDB Fakel VACUUM TECHNOLOGY FEATURES • The intensive removal of the moisture (dehydration) is carried out without a preliminary freezing of products under pressure and temperature inside the drying cell which is higher than the water triple point(up to 25 mm Hg, up to 35 оС) • The conservation of original biological properties of products, because a volatilization from the liquid phase is taking place at not more than 35 оС • The obtaining of environmentally appropriate production(vacuumization and removal of water vapors are carried out in oilless medium) • The refrigerating equipment is not required • The time for drying and preparing is being reduced

THE VACUUM DRYING UNITS BY EDB Fakel The experimental unit for grain vacuum drying • The output is 3 ton / day • The initial dampness of wheat is 22 % • The final dampness is 14 % • The time of drying is 6 hours • The temperature of drying is up to 35 оС • The energy cost of drying is60 kW * hour / ton( for the unit S21firm “ARAJ”, Poland,the cost of drying is110 kW*hour / ton)

THE VACUUM DRYING UNITS BY EDB Fakel The experimental - industrial model of the unit for vacuum dryingof fish products, obtaining agar-agar from sea red algae,medications, ferments, vegetable and fruit jus concentrates etc • Initial charging is up to 500 kg • The output is up to750 kg / day ( dried fish ) • The time of drying is 7 hours ( for the unit ATMOC-2000, Sweden,with the same output the time of drying is equal to 48 hours ) • The energy cost of drying is 3,5 kW * hour / kg( test results while obtaining agar-agar )
