Behavior Means of Correction • Start “Ready to Learn” • Can move up or down • Get one warning • “Teacher’s Choice” • (I chose consequence) • If you move up you will • get rewarded!
Rewards • Panther Perks/Paws • Citizenship, Cooperation, Kindness • Table Points • (on task, working, collaboration, etc.) • Credit Card stamps • Spirit Day, University Day, Behavior, Jobs, improvement, etc. (weekly) • Raffles • Hot Tickets (monthly)
Homework • Assigned Monday-Thursday • Due each morning with homework folder! • Please look over assignments for neatness
21st Century Standards! • Common Core • 21st Century Learning • 4 C’s (Communication, Creativity, Collaboration, Critical Thinking) • New Standards Based Grades • Big on Technology! • Computers, iPads, Chrome Books, emails, online assignments/tests, etc.
Distractions (not allowed in classroom) • Fidget Spinners/cubes • Acceptable if in IEP • Slime • Toys • Phones (need to be turned off and in backpack)
2019-20 Dress Code • Monday: Briggs Spirit Wear • Tuesday & Thursday: Tee shirts/pants/shorts/dresses (tank tops at least 2”. Shirts must cover midriff. No Basketball shorts. All Shorts/skirts/dresses must be past finger tips) • Wednesday: Club shirts (100 mile/Garden Club, etc.) • Friday: College Shirts or Military
Donations: Our class would greatly appreciate any donations throughout the year • Hand sanitizer • Clorox wipes • Tissues • Graph paper • Lined paper • White copy paper • Dry erase markers • Glue sticks
